‘Life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10)

In order for pupils to experience ‘Life in all its fullness’ we will:

Celebrate aspirational and enquiring minds. We will nurture high expectations, creativity, tolerance and respect for others in order that our children will have strong morals and spiritual values to become successful members of society.

In our teaching of Science, we aim to give children the opportunity to investigate how and why things happen, whilst encouraging them to develop enquiring minds and a sense of curiosity about our amazing world.

In our teaching of Historywe aim to give children the opportunity to explore the past through research, visits and a range of primary and secondary sources, enabling them to see the significance of key events in shaping the world they are a part of.

In our teaching of Geography, we aim for children to have an understanding of how and why places are changing, and to better imagine, predict and work towards, likely and preferred futures. We want them to develop a better understanding of the world around them; its people, places and environments, and the interactions between them.

In our teaching of Modern Foreign Languages, we aim for children to develop a curiosity about languages and an aware of cultural differences in other countries. We strive to embed the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing through a range of enjoyable and stimulating opportunities.

In our teaching of Personal, Social, Health and Emotional well-beingwe aim for children to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes needed to keep themselves healthy and safe, and prepare them for life and work in modern Britain.
